2016 marked the beginning of several significant policy changes across the world stage.  While these developments will almost certainly impact the global economy in 2017, how these changes will manifest is uncertain. For the domestic chemical enterprise, the past year saw a major revision to the Toxic Substances Control Act and an election cycle that may signal trade policy alterations. Overseas, the ramifications of the “Brexit” vote add uncertainty in 2017, as do ongoing fluxes in energy production. How growth rates between developed and emergent economies will affect demand and supply for raw materials and refined products is another looming question for industrial sectors.

This panel will discuss their thoughts on the outlook for the chemical enterprise in 2017, followed by Q&A with the audience. Lunch served on location.

Moderator & Panel
William F. Carroll, Indiana University
Jennifer Abril, Society Of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates
Lynn L. Bergeson, Bergeson & Campbell, P.C.
