Foreign Influence and Research Security: The Challenges Continue

August 18, Noon - 1:30 p.m. EDT

COGR Member Registration   This registration is for COGR members only.  Non-COGR Member registrations through this link will be canceled.

Non-COGR Member Research Institution Registration    While COGR members will receive priority if the webinar reaches capacity, due to the broad interest in foreign influence and research security, we are also piloting an approach that would allow non-COGR member research institutions to attend for a small fee.

Session Description:

There remains an intense focus among Washington policymakers and agencies on issues of research security at universities. The panel will include an AAU representative who will discuss recent and pending Congressional legislation; a Department of Energy (DOE) representative (invited) who will discuss recent DOE policy changes, and an EDUCAUSE representative who will discuss cybersecurity challenges. In addition, a university representative will discuss recent challenges associated with HEA Section 117 reporting, and we also will include a discussion of recent immigration and visa changes.

Additional Information:

All registrations are submitted for approval.  Zoom access links will be emailed 2 days prior to the session.
