June Meeting Information (Updated 5/29/25)

  • We are thrilled to report that the June meeting is on track to be COGR’s highest attended meeting ever.  Please ensure you have confirmed your meeting registration in the COGR Portal (under My Event Registrations) and room reservation with the hotel, including your check-in/out dates.  The hotel is nearing capacity and last-minute reservations may be difficult to accommodate.

  • NEW: Driving in?  The hotel is now self-park.  There is no longer valet service at the hotel.

  • With our record level attendance, we will be opening the Courtesy Viewing Room in the Dupont Ballroom on both Thursday and Friday.  Attendees in Dupont will be able to see and hear all activities in the main ballroom, and thanks to Poll Everywhere, will be able to participate in QA and any live polling right from their seat.  If you prefer to sit in the main ballroom, we strongly encourage you to claim your seat early on Thursday and Friday mornings.  Registration will open at 7:30 a.m on Thursday.

  • Ensure you download Poll Everywhere (PE) on your mobile device ahead of the meeting (Apple Download, Android).  You can access PE through a browser window on your laptop, the app on your phone, or both!  We’ll use PE for Q&A and live polling questions.  We will continue to have the standing mics in the main ballroom, and those standing at the mics will be given priority during QA.

  • The meeting on Thursday begins at 9 am ET.  We’ll have the coffee and tea ready - breakfast on Thursday will be on your own.

  • New for Friday morning: “Navigating the Storm: Institutional Perspectives on a Changing Federal Landscape:” With over 300 senior research administrators in the room (including our Courtesy Viewing Room in Dupont), this is a session focused on discussion and sharing among attendees.  Attendees will choose a table on Friday morning with an assigned ‘table topic.’  On Thursday, attendees will select the topic that most interests them. On Friday, attendees will sit at one of the tables designated with the topic they selected.   Table report outs will be done electronically, ensuring that attendees in the Courtesy Viewing Room are able to fully participate.

  • NEW:  Friday morning start time has been updated to 8 am ET.  Breakfast will begin at 7 am ET.  If you have a strong preference for your table discussion topic in “Navigating the Storm”, and/or prefer to sit in the main ballroom on Friday morning, we recommend arriving early to claim your seat.

  • The meeting agenda, along with other meeting resources, can be found on COGR’s meeting materials page.  We encourage you to read COGR’s May 2025 Update and other background materials linked in the agenda to get the most out of each session.

  • UPDATED: The cancellation deadline (May 28) has now passed.  Due to firm commitments with the hotel, cancellation requests received after May 28 will not be refunded.  June meeting registrations cannot be carried over to a future meeting.
