The Council on Governmental Relations (COGR) 2019 Membership Survey was designed to collect constructive feedback from member institutions regarding COGR’s meetings, communications, engagement strategies, and key policy issues. The survey assured respondents of anonymity and guaranteed that all findings would be reported only in aggregate, thus protecting individual and institutional identities. Participation was encouraged on both an individual and institutional basis, allowing multiple responses per organization. The survey was accessible online via SurveyGizmo, with options for both multiple-choice and open-ended responses to facilitate comprehensive input.
Members were informed that the survey would be open starting July 2019, with completion requested by early August 2019. Announcements and access details were distributed through the COGR listserv and posted on the organization’s website. The survey permitted saving and returning for convenience. The summarized results were scheduled to be shared with the membership at the October 2019 meeting, at which subsequent action items would be determined. For additional information or support, members could contact designated COGR staff, specifically David Kennedy and Toni Russo. The survey thus represented a structured effort to engage members and guide future organizational actions based on broad-based, confidential input.
