Preliminary Agenda Topics

 

  • Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).  This will be a pre-recorded fireside chat with Dr. Fauci, moderated by COGR Board Chair David Norton and COGR President Wendy Streitz.  Attendees are encouraged to send questions in advance here.
  • Government Accountability Office (GAO):  Representatives from GAO will discuss recent projects concerning research integrity and foreign influence and export controls.
  • Update on Framework for Reviewing Global Engagements:  Using case studies, members from the REC and CGA committees will discuss development of institutional processes to address inappropriate foreign influence on research.
  • Legislative Update with Michael Ledford, J.D., President of Lewis-Burke Associates
  • NIH & NSF Updates
  • The NSF National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics: Perspectives on NCSES Surveys and Data Usage

In addition, COGR will host discussion hours in which attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with COGR staff and with each other on important and timely topics.  Discussion hour topics, dates, and times will be announced as soon as they are available.
