Why is COGR doing a virtual meeting in February?

Due to the ongoing public health emergency created by COVID-19, we made the difficult decision to cancel our in-person meeting and move sessions online for the health and safety of our members, speakers, and COGR staff. 

 

When will the final agenda with session descriptions and times be available?

A final agenda is available on our website now.

 

Is my institution a COGR Member?

Please view our membership list here.  COGR membership is by institution, not individual.  If your institution is listed, please proceed with registration.

 

How will I be able to access each session during the meeting?

We are hosting the meeting in Zoom.  If you register by February 19, 2021, your registration will be uploaded to Zoom and you will receive session links the Monday prior to the meeting. The messages come directly from Zoom, so please check your spam and junk folders.  You will receive an individual Zoom email for each meeting session with an access link and the session time.  The email will also include a link to automatically add the session to your Outlook or Google Calendar.  We encourage you to do so.  Zoom will also send out a session reminder and access link one day and one hour prior to the start of each session.

 

Will the presentation slides be available?

As with previous meetings, we will post session slides after the meeting here.

 

Will I be still able to ask questions during the sessions?

Absolutely!  While we encourage you to send your questions ahead of time, you will also have the ability to type in questions in the live Q&A.  We will get to as many questions as time allows.   To send in questions prior to the session, please email trusso@cogr.edu.

 

When is the last day to register?

The last day to register for this meeting will be Friday, February 19, 2021.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

We will accept all cancellation requests for this meeting received by end of day on Friday, February 19, 2021.

 

Several individuals from my institution are interested in attending this meeting. Is there a group discount available?

Yes, we do offer special pricing for registrations of 5 or more individuals from the same institution. Please register all attendees in a single transaction if possible.  The discount can not be applied retroactively. Processing fees may apply for registrants switching from individual registrations to group registrations.

Instructions on using the code:  From the tickets page, click the promo code link in the upper left corner.  Enter the code, click 'apply' and a new ticket option will appear.  Be sure to change the "COGR Member" ticket dropdown to '0'.

 

I'm a COGR at-large Committee Member or Invited Guest.  How do I register?

As with previous meetings, COGR at-large Committee members are already registered.  Invited guests will be sent an email with registration instructions.  If you need assistance, please contact Toni Russo at trusso@cogr.edu.

 

Will COGR host an in-person meeting in June 2021?

While we certainly hope to be back with our membership in person in June 2021, it is still too soon to make that determination.  We are carefully monitoring the situation and will keep our membership informed on the location of the June meeting as we get closer to the date.
